In an effort to maintain secure, friendly, and enjoyable
facilities, Athens ISD has the following rules and regulations regarding
athletic arenas including but not limited to Bruce Field, gyms, softball and
baseball fields, track and tennis courts. Athens ISD administration asks that
each patron, staff, visitor, etc. obey all rules.
* Athens ISD facilities are drug free. This
means no smoking or alcoholic beverages will be allowed.
* Athens ISD facilities are weapon free zones.
There will be no firearms allowed. The only exceptions are security and
licensed police officers.
* Athens ISD facilities are gambling free
zones.
* Athens ISD facilities will not allow rude,
crude or belligerent attitudes toward security, officials, administration, or
opposing teams. Please remember these are arenas in which children are
participating in U.I.L. sanctioned activities.
* Athens ISD facilities will have a no
tolerance policy for fighting.
* Bruce Field allows no gum, sun-flower seeds,
confetti, glass bottles or containers on the playing field. Also, fire batons, etc are not allowed on the
playing field.
* In order to preserve the safety of all
participants including officials, players, coaches, photographers, trainers,
band, cheer, drill team, etc. there will be no spectators allowed on the fields
before, during, or after the game.
* Athens ISD football stadium, Bruce Field, in
regulation with district 14 AAA rules will not allow any artificial noisemakers
or musical instruments other than participating teams’ bands. Cannons and large air horns are strictly
prohibited. Artificial music in tape decks and stereos will not be allowed
except for participating drill teams, twirlers, flag corp
and cheer.
* Athens ISD football stadium, Bruce Field, in
regulation with district 14 AAA rules and the University Scholastic League will
allow NO victory lines other than uniformed school groups on the playing
field. All non-students must remain outside the end zone.
* Athens ISD facilities honor all Athens ISD
complimentary staff passes for themselves and their families for all sporting events except varsity football.
Children and spouse must accompany the employee at time pass is presented.
Varsity football games will honor staff passes for the employee only. Staff
passes are not valid for reserved seating. Opposing school staff passes will
not be accepted.
* Athens ISD facilities honor all District 14
AAA district passes. Passes are good for
the pass holder + 1. These passes are honored for all schools in district 14
AAA – Bullard, Brownsboro,
* THSCA –Texas High School Coaches Association
members will be accepted for entrance into Athens ISD athletic facilities. This
pass is good for the card holder only.
* Athens ISD will abide by all U.I.L. rules
for all contest, playing fields, and games.
