7/8 Girl’s Basketball Schedule 2007-2008

Congratulations to the 7A Lady Hornet Basketball team on their win against Canton last night!  The Lady Hornets ended their perfect season in a close game with a final score of 39 to 33!  Leading scorers were Demi Cumby with 13 points, Treka Franklin with 10, and Candace Fleming....scoring the final 2 buckets that locked in the win, with 9 points.  Daisha Blakemore added 5 points to the board and Magan Hartin added 2.  All team members showed alot of heart, played together as a team and played excellent defense!  These ladies had an awesome season.  Way to Go Lady Hornet District Champs!!  Season record is 9 and 0!!

The Lady Hornet "A" teams brought home their second win last night against Van.

The 7th grade "A" Team won in overtime 23 to 22.  The team was lead offensively by Demi Cumby, with a total of 12 points, and Treka Franklin with a total of 6 points. Everyone played a hard game and worked together as a team.  Their season record is 2 and 0.

The 8th grade Ateam Lady Hornets won there game last night 44 to 15.  The offense was led by Marciana Jones with 14 points, Tenesha Dennis with 10, and Chelsea Crayton with 10 points scored.  All of the Lady hornets worked hard and played as a team to defeat the Vandals
