1997 Graduate of Collin County Community College with an Associate of Arts. 2001 Graduate of Texas A&M – Commerce with a Bachelor of Science majoring in health and minor in psychology. Coach Qualls is certified in special ed, pe, and health.

Married for 21 years to Shelia. Daughter Ashlee, 2007 graduate of Athens High School. She is a 19 and is a sophomore at TVCC studying physical therapy. Son, Andrew is in his 5^th year as a member of the United States Air Force stationed in Minot, North Dakota.

Coach Qualls is a retired firefighter/paramedic where he spent 20 years. He began teaching and coaching in 1999. The 2008-2009 school year will be his 3^rd year with the Lady Hornets volleyball and softball programs.

Teaches Special education math and English. Has been coaching softball for 15 years, which includes recreational, select, and high school.
