Members of Athens High School’s chapter of Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA) recently attended the area competition, which totaled approximately 3,500 students. Pictured (from left) are Daniela Jimenez, Vanessa Velazquez, Xitlali Madera and Jeanette Campa, who all scored high enough on the healthcare issues exam to compete at the state level in San Antonio in March. Kyleigh Ray (second from right), Kaitlyn Wilson (far right) and Chloe Anton (not pictured) advance as members of the courtesy corp and voting delegates from area competition. Kennedy Brown (not pictured) advanced directly to state in the healthcare issues exam. They are led by teacher Tamara Anderson.
