The artificial turf was unrolled over the new Lady Hornets softball field this week. In about a month, the same will be done on the baseball field.
“We’re making good progress,” said Barry Choate, executive director of maintenance and operations for AISD. “It’s going to be nice.”
The new baseball/softball complex will include additional seating, with each field accommodating up to 1,000 spectators. Work should be completed well in advance of the start of the baseball/softball season in January.
