Enrollment is now open for both new and returning students for the upcoming 2025–2026 school year at Athens ISD.
Returning Student Registration
Families of returning students can complete the registration process through Family Access. After logging in, click on the tile labeled 2025–26 Returning Student Enrollment.
New this year: To complete registration, families must upload proof of residency dated April 2025 or later and a parent or guardian photo ID.
New Student Enrollment
For students who will be new to Athens ISD this fall — including those entering pre-K or kindergarten — enrollment takes place at the campus your child will attend. To begin, complete the New Student Enrollment form. The online form allows families to create a Family Access account (if you don't already have one), complete essential forms, and upload required documents, including:
Birth certificate
Immunization records
Proof of residence (e.g., utility bill or lease)
Parent/guardian photo ID
Student’s Social Security card
Any applicable legal documents
Incoming Pre-K students will need proof of qualification, such as proof of income.
To finalize enrollment, bring physical copies of those documents to your student’s campus.
Pre-K and Kindergarten Requirements
Pre-K3, students must be 3 years old by September 1, 2025
Pre-K4, students must be 4 years old by September 1, 2025
Kindergarten, students must be 5 years old by September 1, 2025
There is no cost to attend pre-K3 (half day) or pre-K4 (full day) for qualifying students. Eligibility is typically based on income or other state-approved criteria. For more information about pre-K qualifications, contact the campus your child will attend.
